Hi and thanks for checking out our brand new online store! Here’s the inside scoop on how Beautico came about from our founder…

Being super passionate about health and nutrition when I did my weekly grocery shop I’d make sure I was fuelling my body with healthy nutritious foods. Ones that didn’t contain numbers and things that were NOT FOOD as part of the ingredient list (so yes, I confess I am one of those people who takes ages reading ingredient labels in the supermarket!).

All was going well and I was feeling good about the decisions I was making until one day I decided to check my skincare. I was shocked, I was using products that had ingredients lists where I hardly recognised any of them (and not many people would!). Some of these just had capital letters and numbers to indicate what they were and I realised I had no idea what I was actually putting on my face (and absorbing into my body).

For the next year, I did a heap of research and I mean a lot (because I can get a bit obsessive sometimes!) and found that some ingredients in beauty products like skincare are known to be toxic. As in there is ACTUAL RESEARCH that some skin care ingredients are not healthy for us – like Parabens which have been found in breast tumor tissue (If you love getting into all the details, there are some links for further reading at the bottom).

So over the next 18 months, I worked with a well-known New Zealand skincare manufacturer to create a line of skincare products that are made with ingredients found in nature. To help women like you and me make a smart and conscious choice about the ingredients we use on our skin and put into our bodies.

Just because we’ve put a big focus on what goes into the products, don’t think for a second we’ve compromised on how the products look and feel on your skin. Our motto is beautiful skin without compromising on the ingredients, so as well as being good for you, your skin will be left feeling soft, smooth and vibrant.

We would love you to try the products as part of your health and wellness journey and let us know what you think!
